Colin Christy

Colin P Christy Dip QS FRICS is a chartered quantity surveyor with over 38 years’ experience in the consultant service sector of the property and construction industry. He began his career with Tweed Atkinson Peters & Lewis in Edinburgh in 1973, then joined George Berry and Partners and Strathclyde Regional Council.

He moved to Summers and Partners in 1977 and progressed to become the partner in charge of their Glasgow office until 1999. As a result of client influence and associated opportunities, he set up Christy Partnership in 1999 with the benefit of an established portfolio of client commissions.

Colin possesses a thorough and wide-ranging expertise in management of risk in the procurement of new build, alteration and refurbishment projects. His experience covers the realisation of property investment ventures for clients that include the MoD, Benefits Agency, Scottish Enterprise, Scottish Courts, Scottish Television, Woolwich Homes, various housing associations, banks, mental health care homes, local community facilities, a variety of golf clubhouses, one-off houses and high-density residential developments.
